In December 2020, a passion for exploration and design led two childhood friends (Fionn & Jack) from Kinsale to experiment redesigning the rain jacket using the principles of the circular economy.
It soon became clear that the future of outdoor clothing lies in utilising raw materials that are bio-based and renewable.
Zirkulu grew naturally from a desire to make things better.
For the trail ahead, we’re embarking on an expedition into the biological age—a journey where sustainability meets adventure.
We’re striving for a world where our gear works in harmony with nature—because the future is bright, and it’s waiting for us just over the next ridge.

Nestled in the heart of Kinsale, our shop has become the basecamp for everything we do at Zirkulu. What started as a small pop-up has grown into a space where we can meet people face-to-face, share our story, and build something lasting. It’s where new ideas take shape, where you can try on our gear, and where our community continues to grow — one conversation at a time.
