Zirkulu is a Basque word meaning circle. A name inspired by our belief that outdoor gear should be built around the principles of the circular economy.

For generations, humans have looked to nature for the materials and inspiration to make things better. We believe it's time to look again.

Curiosity is power.

In December 2020, two childhood friends (Fionn & Jack) from Kinsale, Ireland, set out to rethink the rain jacket. Driven by a shared passion for exploration and design, we began experimenting with new materials and circular design principles.

What started as a simple idea soon became a much bigger ambition.

We discovered that the future of outdoor clothing could lie in the materials nature has been making all along. Bio-based, renewable materials that challenge the way we design, make and use our gear.

Zirkulu grew from a desire to make things better.

Today, that same curiosity continues to drive us forward. Exploring new materials, challenging conventions and creating outdoor gear for a changing world.

We see the future as an expedition into the biological age. One where science, nature and adventure come together to shape what's possible.
