In December 2020, a passion for exploration and design led two childhood friends on Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast to experiment with recycling end-of-life fishing gear.
We wanted to create a rain jacket that blended circular design with technical performance.
It soon became clear that the future of outdoor clothing lies not simply in repurposing used synthetics, but in utilising raw materials that are bio-based and renewable.
Zirkulu grew naturally from a desire to make things better.
Today we build technical gear based on the principles of the circular economy and strive to chart new territory in outdoor apparel.
